Castle Master

Review:
Castle Master is one of the first ever First Person Perspective game. Years ahead of its time, it pushed the Spectrum to its very limits, featuring solid polygon graphics and an impressive map. It's a well-designed, atmospheric game which is the ancestor of the flood of Unreal and Quake type games now swamping the games market.

Instructions:
The object of the game is to rescue your twin from the castle (Although the game seems to make more sense if you don't know the plot). You must do this by finding keys and working your way through to the top of one of the towers.
Simple huh? `Fraid not! You must also kill all the demons you encounter. (Demon's in this game can be mice, bats or unidentifiable polygons sat in the middle of a room. So shoot anything that looks suspicious!) If you enter a room containing a demon, the screen will go all psychadelic and your energy will be drained until you locate and shoot the thing. Energy can be replenished by finding food. To pick up a key or food, open a door or read a message, swich to target mode, move the cursor over the object and press "activate".

Hints and Tips:
Although they may seem like a booby trap, it is necessary to fall into the catacombs through every possible entrance and collect the item from that room. Draw a map as you go, and you'll find it a lot easier to get out!
There is an entrance to the Catacombs under the bolder outside, but you can only move the bolder when you have full strength.
Some demons are hidden - shoot the flag in the main courtyard.
Standing on the drawbridge and closing it will catapult you to new territory, but will block your way outside, so DON'T do it until you have been to the catacombs through BOTH the entrances outside!

Cheats:
In order to get through a door you can see, but can't reach. get your cross over the door in movement mode and press forward and fire at the same time.
