Review: Jetpac was a hugely popular game and must be one of the most recognisable 8-bit games in the world.
As with all the classic arcade games, the premise behind it is very simple and the action takes place on one screen.
You fly your little spaceman around the screen collecting the bits of your spacecraft and fuel tanks and returning them to the base, all the while avoiding the... err... just what the heck were those things anyway?
When the rocket is rebuilt and fueled up, our hero flies off... and promptly crashes again on a part of the planet populated by even more unidentifiable nasties.
The 1 player mode is fun, but serves mainly as practice so you can try and show off in the 2 player mode. Instructions: Collect the pieces of your spaceship and return them to the base, then collect the falling fuel crates. All the time avoiding or shooting wierd space things that are flying about. Hints and Tips: There is no advice I can give for a game like this. Just practice!
